The zoo might seem like an uncanny place to meet a contemporary in music. And no we weren’t singing to the animals. When I say a contemporary in taste music, it’s one of the most unusual of tastes! From Sinatra to Nat King Cole to the Beatles to Led Zeppling to … well, it’s a pretty long list.
I refer to my pal ‘Roman’ (that’s a nickname...a story in its own right) who will soon be leaving the Paradise Isle in search of greener pastures Down under.
“Life is just a lonely highway…” Sound familiar buddy? At least you would remember the gal who played the bass at the pub with her cigarette butt stuck on the guitar neck ;) not to mention the two ladies who accompanied us.
Our budgets of old often restricted the caviar from flowing in but as you so rightly say “Not a cent in hand but nothing left undone”. What more do we need when we’ve got the best guitar in the world huh? (I’m talking about your dad’s Suzuki… he hee!)
Folks, now let me tell you that this here gentleman also was the owner of very special car…Mini Cooper (1960)! Lets Motor!!! A lot of commuters and cops will be glad to hear the latest news.
Those were the good times shared. Not a care in the world and many a tune to strum.
So… until the fair winds blow our sails in the same direction again, farewell friend! May all your dreams materialize! God bless you buddy!

Sounds like there's a lot more behind the name "Roman" than I initially suspected....
On the bright side, at least the Mini won't be referred to as "Charith's Mini" anymore; Dilshan must be relieved.
